Two persons were fatally shot at a grocery shop in Oxon Hill on Friday morning, close to the Eastover Shopping Center, and police are looking into the incident.Officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department arrived at the 20 block of Audrey Lane at 11 a.m. When the police arrived, they discovered that the 20-year-old suspect, Zaila Akida, and the grocery store’s security guard, Willie Tate, 43, both had gunshot wounds.According to authorities, Akida was transferred to a hospital and later confirmed dead, while ate was declared dead at the scene. There is no danger to the community, according to the police, who defined the gunshot as an isolated occurrence.According to Maj. Zachary O’Tare, the security officer fired back after the adult female pulled a weapon out of her backpack and started shooting at him.Bruce Leshan of WUSA9 spoke with Daniel Crook, a dairy stocker at the Giant supermarket where the event took place.
