Sprint driver Jason Johnson died Sunday after an accident at Beaver Dam Raceway in Wisconsin. The death was caused by injuries he received in the crash that actually happened a day earlier on Saturday.
Johnson, 41, was racing for the World of Outlaws race and crashed on lap 18 of a 40-lap race while running for the lead. After the incident, he was rushed to the hospital. But sadly he did not survive. The next day, on Sunday morning, the series announced it on Twitter about Johnson’s death.
Several condolences began to flood social networks after the death of this racing star who also won several races and championships throughout his career. Similarly, the official page called Jason Johnson Racing published on behalf of the team about the death of its leader.

Although the death of Jason Johnson has shocked his fans and people around the world, this is not the first unfortunate incident of an accidental death. The racing community revealed that the story of the driver deaths occurred within a couple of years. They discussed the series of these unfortunate events.
- In the year 2013, at a speed car race in New Jersey, a racer named Jason Leffler lost his life after an accident.
- Similarly, the following year Jules Bianchi suffered a serious head injury at the Japanese Grand Prix. He ultimately lost his life after the fatal wound he received.
- Another Sprint driver, Scott Semmelmann, was also a victim of the Beaver Dam accident in 2014.
- In 2015, Justin Wilson, hit by a piece of debris to the head during an IndyCar race at Pocono, ultimately died from the injury.
- Followed by a case of Bryan Clauson who lost his life after injuries in a crash during a race at Kansas.

Knowing the broker personally, he was originally from Louisiana and married. He was married to his wife Bobbi, who was also involved in his racing career. They also have a young son named Jaxx. Also, Jason’s cousin brother was also the crew chief of his racing team.

His racing partner, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., also took to Twitter to express his grievances and condolences to the family. The broker wrote on his Twitter account about Johnson’s death as;
“He was the toughest competitor there was…one of the best. He was the real owner of the car [and] driver, and it’s hard to do that these days. A lot of people respected that he could do that.”
Meanwhile, the World of Outlaws and the racing community are organizing fundraisers for Jason’s family.
