Sara Haines served as an anchor for GMA Day, the Good Morning America lunchtime program.
In March 2018, ABC cancelled the program she co-hosted with Michael Strahan and Keke Palmer and replaced it with GMA3, a more news-focused program with Amy Robach and Dr. Jennifer Ashton as the hosts.
Why did Sara Haines leave GMA?
Later, Haines joined a panel that included included Meghan McCain, Sunny Hostin, and longtime hosts Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, among others.
She has occasionally served as a guest host on The View since the coronavirus pandemic forced a switch to remote production in recent months.
Haines worked as a correspondent and anchor for the weekend version of GMA before joining The View.
She had previously worked at NBC on Today’s fourth hour.
When The View’s 24th season premiered, a former member of the hosting crew was warmly welcomed back.
She was definitely one of their own and came back to boss it.
