Yetunde Hawanya Tara Price was the oldest half-sister of the tennis star. She was born to tennis coach Oracene Price, and Yusef Rasheed. She has four sisters; Lyndrea, Isha Price, and half-sisters, Venus and Serena Williams.
In addition to working as a nurse, she was also the personal assistant of her sisters, Venus and Serena, and owned a hair salon.
Yetunde Price cause of death
She was murdered in a shooting in Compton, California on the night of September 14, 2003. She was parked outside what subsequently was revealed to be a crack house.
Two members of the Southside Compton Crips street gang, who were guarding the house, opened fire on the SUV. Their belief was, that they were defending the crack house from gangland rivals.
Robert Edward Maxfield, a member of the Southside Compton Crips street gang pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter on March 22, 2006.
