Gloria Maria was a Brazilian journalist, reporter, and television host who had an amazing career from the 60s until she died in 2023. She was reported dead on February 2, 2023. She was the first television reporter and TV host of African descent to achieve national success in Brazil.

She became the special reporter for Globo Reporter after she met the news directors of Globo in 1970. She also co-hosted Sergio Chapelin sometimes. She was the first black television reporter in Brazil to represent the seven o’clock news and the first to command Fantastico.

She was the first reporter to make a live entry on Jornal Nacional and became an eternal on the programs Fantastico and Globo Reporter.
