Who Is Mo Amer’s Wife? Is He Married?

Amer was previously married to a Mexican American woman named Peggy Mae Guitterez. The two lived in Los Angeles with Guitterez’s daughter from her previous marriage with Brian Bennet, Elyse Bennett.
The comedian stated that he got divorced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Records show Amer filed for divorce on March 25, 2021, in Harris County District Courts.
The former couple has not stated the exact reason why they are getting divorced to the public.
The most Amer has stated beside his initial jokes about it in his special is that he’s been feeling a bit down about the whole ordeal.
Guitterez, too, uploaded a TikTok in mid-autumn of 2022, which featured her dog and a caption stating that her dog made it easier to be alone.
Fans wonder what led to the couple’s break up because Amer has always been open about how much he loves his now ex-wife.
An example is when, back in 2014, Amer wrote about his wife donating her kidney to her father and how courageous that made her.
As recently as 2017, Amer was posting about his love for Guitterez, and now they’ve joined the many marriages that ended due to the pandemic.
