An independent team of investigators has finally identified the Zodiac Killer. His name is Gary Francis Poste. 

Zodiac Killer, who terrorized the San Francisco area in the late 1960s, is the most notorious serial killer in California history.

He successfully escaped from police authorities for decades after decades with no person being able to discover his real identity.

Now, a team of Case Breakers, that includes a team of more than 40 detectives, military intelligence officers, and journalists believed they have identified the infamous serial killer.

According to TMZ, the killer went by the name Gary Francis Poste and he died around three years ago.

Gary Francis Poste is the alleged Zodiac Killer from the 1960s, reported Fox News.

The Zodiac Killer was linked to five murders between 1968 and 1969 in San Francisco.

This particular serial killer was different from other killers as he used to leave complex ciphers in his letters to newspapers and law enforcement.

The authorities investigated many potential suspects but were unable to locate the actual killer. Now, the Case Breakers are certain they have identified the real serial killer albeit they may be a little late.

The suspect, Gary Francis Poste, is already dead. He passed away in 2018.

The team discovered some forensic evidence and photos from Gary’s darkroom. Police also matched a scar on Poste’s forehead to a sketch of the Zodiac Killer bearing a similar scar.

He was on the run from the law and had successfully evaded law enforcement until his demise.

Poste’s verified photos are not revealed but a sketch of Zodiac Killer has been shared on the media.

Former Army counterintelligence agent, Jen Bucholtz claimed they were able to identify the real killer from the cryptic letters Zodiac had sent to law enforcement years ago.

In one of the letters, the officer said, it contained an alternate message that was revealed after the letters of Poste’s full name were removed.

One had to know Poste’s full name to decipher the letters.
