On Saturday evening, officers from Orlando’s police department responded to a gunshot, Gamaine Brown , 19, was positively recognized by authorities on Sunday afternoon.
There was a playoff game between Jones High and Wekiva High happening at Jones High.
At 8:22 p.m., when the last whistle blew, police were beginning to evacuate the stadium.
Shots were fired in a parking area north of the football field, authorities say.
Two adult males were located at the scene with gunshot wounds, according to the police.
Officials confirmed the death of one of the men. Gamaine Brown, 19, was positively recognized by authorities on Sunday afternoon.
The other man who was found shot was rushed to the hospital, but his injuries were deemed to be minor.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, OPD received information that a third victim of the gunshot had voluntarily gone to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not life threatening.
Four suspects have been captured, according to OPD Chief Eric Smith, and one of them was armed.
According to the police, a fight between the two groups could have been the catalyst for the shooting.
They haven’t figured out what led to the shooting yet.
It is the opinion of the police that there is now no danger to the general population.
