Ann Marie is a judge of the Texas 72nd District Court. Her ex-husband Kyle Carruth, is a suspect in a deadly shooting in South Lubbock earlier this month on November 5.
In an affidavit sworn by Judge Annie-Marrie Carruth on November 8, he was recognized. She wrote that she was ‘notified that her husband, William Kyle Carruth, is under investigation for the shooting and killing of his girlfriend’s children’s father after he attempted to pick up his children later Friday afternoon.
The inquiry originates from a shots-fired complaint received at 4:20 p.m. near the 2100 block of 90th Street, when responding police discovered Chad Read, 54, deceased on the scene.
Further, Carruth claimed she hadn’t spoken to her estranged husband after the incident but was “extremely concerned” about his mental health.
Kyle Carruth, a “Lubbock 2nd Amendment Coalition” leader, shot and killed Chad Read, his girlfriend’s children’s father, in Texas on Nov 5.
Carruth, whose ex-wife is a Gov. Abbott-appointed District Judge, hasn’t been arrested or charged with a crime.

Where Is Ann Marie Carruth In 2021? Kyle Carruth Ex-Wife Update
Anne Marie Carruth in 2021 is still held with her post as a judge in the Texas 72nd District Court. Her current term expires on December 31, 2022.
According to court filings, Ann Marie Carruth and her ex-husband married in September 2009 and separated in July. After William Kyle Carruth filed for divorce in September, their divorce was finalized on Friday.

Who is Ann Marie Carruth? Bio
Ann Maire Carruth is a judge of the Texas 72nd District Court. She formerly served on the Lubbock Country Court as a judge. She took over for David Nelson, who died in July 2018.
Carruth graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. She was earning a master’s degree at the University of Nevada, Reno, at the time of her appointment to the district court.
Carruth ran for the Lubbock Country Court at Law No. 3 judgeship in Texas. On November 6, 2018, she won the general election.
Likewise, she also stood for re-election as a judge in the Lubbock Country Justice of the Peace Courts Precinct 4 in Texas. However, she resigned before the November 6, 2018, general election
Moreover, Governor Greg Abbott appointed Carruth to the district court on January 11, 2021. On January 24, 2021, she was sworn in.
