Paul Joseph Fronczak was a one-day-old infant, who was kidnapped from a Chicago hospital in 1964, the incident made national news.

Paul was snooping around for Christmas presents in the crawlspace of the family home in Oak Lawn in the winter of 1974, when he was 10 years old and living a normal, happy, regular life with his parents and little brother when he came across a pile of newspaper clippings detailing his kidnapping as a newborn and his return to his parents 15 months later.

He recognized his parents in the pictures, looking distraught and much younger. Then he read that their baby son, Paul Joseph, had been kidnapped. Since then he has been questioning his real identity.

After the DNA test, it was revealed that Paul Fronczak is not the biological child of Dora Fronczak and Chester Fronczak.

Dora Fronczak and Chester welcomed their son called Paul on April 26, 1964, in the now-defunct Michael Reese Hospital on Bronzeville, Chicago’s South Side.

When the baby was a day and a half old, a lady disguised as a nurse entered the room, announced that the doctor wanted to see the baby, and then left with the kid. Sadly, the DNA test proved that he was not their real son.

In fact, Fronczak and a team of genealogists worked tirelessly to finally track down relatives on the East Coast, including cousins, uncles, and two elder siblings.
