Biography:

Whitney Cummings was born on September 4, 1982 in Washington D.C., USA. She studied at the University of North Carolina before attending University of Pennsylvania, from which she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in communications and film.

She started her career in Los Angeles as she worked on MTV’s Punk’d. She then began performing stand-up in 2004. Since then, she has performed in The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly and NESN’s Comedy All-Stars.

She co-created the sitcom 2 Broke Girls, which was picked up by CBS. She also created and starred in another sitcom, Whitney.
