Case Update Tyler Hadley – Where Is He Now And What Happened To His House?
Tyler Hadley is still serving his sentence at Okeechobee Correctional Institution. As for his house, it got demolished in April 2015.
On 16 July 2011, he killed his parents, Blake and Mary-Jo Hadley, at their home, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He set up for the crime, taking his parents’ cell phones away and digesting three Ecstacy pills. He then stood behind his mother, working at the family computer, and beat her to death with a hammer. Hearing the screams, his father came, whom he stared at for a moment and killed him.
After murdering his parents, Tyler hid the dead bodies in the master bedroom and cleaned the mess, which took him three hours. Following that, he began preparations for a party as he made a Facebook post about the party and withdrew some cash from an ATM. The party picked up the pace at 8:15 p.m.on the day of the murder and ended at around 2 a.m. About 60 people attended the party and had fun, playing beer pong, smoking cigars, and drinking.
Amid the party, he confessed to his best friend, Michael Mandell, about his deeds and showed the blood-filled master bedroom. Micheal then got over the crazy situation and took some selfies.
As the party ended, the news of the crime spread, and Tyler got arrested in the morning and convicted. During the incident, he was 17, which denied the Florida law to sentence him to death. But, in 2014, he was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole that got overturned by an appeal judge in April 2016. Then came 2018, when his sentence changed to life in prison with a possibility of parole.
