Where Is Demarcus Smith Now? 

Demarcus Smith is still in prison, serving his sentence.

After the December 1992 Christmas killings, he is in Mansfield Correctional Institute. He and three others, who called themselves The Downtown Posse killed and injured multiple people. The members were 16-year-old Laura Taylor, 19-year-old Marvallous Keene, and 20-year-old Heather Matthews.

Demarcus and the company killed six people in total and injured two. The first victim was 34-year-old Joseph Wilkerson, whom Keene shot in the chest with a .32 caliber Derringer. They then killed 18-year-old Danita Gullette with five bullets. After that, the group paid a visit to Matthew’s ex-boyfriend, Jeffrey Wright, and Smith shot him four times in the leg. However, the guy survived.

Further, in their killing saga, Taylor gunned down her former boyfriend, 19-year-old Richmond Maddox. The fourth victim of the Posse was 38-year-old Sarah Abraham. Marvallous shot her twice in the head, and she died five days later. They also fired bullets at Jones Pettus, who witnessed the crime, but fortunately survived.

Their last two victims were 16-year-old Wendy Cottrill and 18-year-old Marvin Washington. Keene and Smith executed them after some snitch suspicions.

The Posse then stole Dodge Shadow at a Salem Avenue gas station. That same car led to their arrest. 72 hours after the first murder, Dayton Police Sergeant John Huber found a suspicious vehicle, where all the criminals were, on Kumler Avenue.]

As for Demarcus Smith’s age, he is about 46 years.

During the 1992 Christmas killing that saw six men dead and two injured, he was 17. 

Following the streak of murders, Demarcus got a life imprisonment sentence and is serving at Mansfield Correctional Institute. Heather and Laura also got the same punishment, and are currently serving their time at Ohio Reformatory for Women, Marysville. As for Keene, the law enforcement convicted him of five killings and executed him of lethal injection on 21 July 2009 at Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, Lucasville.
