Za’Darius Smith, an American football outside linebacker with the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League, was born on September 8, 1992. (NFL).

Smith participated in the 2015 East-West Shrine Game on January 17 and contributed two combined tackles and one sack to the East’s 19-3 victory over the West.

Smith was honored as the East-West Shrine Game’s most valuable defensive player. Later, Smith was given an LB invitation to the 2015 Senior Bowl.

In the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected him out of Kentucky’s collegiate football program. Before moving on to the University of Kentucky, Smith played college football for two years at East Mississippi Community College. He had 11 sacks and 66 tackles in his two years at East Mississippi. Smith has 59 tackles, which ranked fifth in the SEC, and six sacks in his rookie season at Kentucky, starting all 12 games. Smith has 60 tackles and 4.5 sacks in 2014 as a senior.
