Heather Hemmens has a white father and a black Costa Rican mother
Heather Hemmens was born on 10th July 1988 in Belfast, Maine, to a white father and a black Costa Rican mother. She identifies as Latina.
In a 2010 interview with Latina.com, Heather said: “When someone says, ‘tell me about yourself,’ I wish I could answer simply, ‘I’m Latina.’ There’s not much more to it.”
Wishing her mother a happy Mother’s Day in 2014, Hemmens posted a throwback photo of the family. “Happy Mother’s Day to my fierce little mama who built a big, strong family,” she wrote.
