During a live Q&A session, the My Dream singer responded to a fan’s question (@YardVibezTV). “Do you believe your career suffered as a result of taking shots at Vybz Kartel?” the question asked.

The “My Dream” singer responded that he does not recall making any disparaging remarks about Vybz Kartel.

He did, however, reveal that at the 2017 Youth View Awards (YVA), he and Vybz Kartel were both nominated for Favorite Local Chart-Topping Song of the Year.

He stated that he walked out of the ceremony when Vybz Kartel’s song “Fever” won the category award. In response, he said he created a video in which he said, “Youth View Awards, I thought you were representing the youths.”

The entertainer stated that he was disappointed that he was not named the winner of the song category by the YVAs.

As a result of the video he posted criticizing the YVA’s ruling, Gazans attacked him, believing he had disrespected their artiste.

On the other hand, Nesbeth reiterated that he is not a controversial artist and that he said nothing negative about Vybz Kartel.
