 Viyaleta Lukoshka, 23 year old has sadly passed away following a tragic murder- suicide incident.

She was pronounced dead on Wednesday, May 10 after a deadly shooting incident occurred involving her. She died in the tragic incident which took place at a condominium building located at Manitoba Street and Legion Road North.

Viyaleta Lukoshka will be greatly missed by all those who knew her and more by those who never did. The police were called to the crime scene at around 4:30 in the morning.

Many residents of the building reported hearing a loud bang before security went on to carry out investigation. Arriving at the scene, Lukoshka was found with a gunshot wound.

Although Kadeem Robinson, 34, of Toronto, has been detained by police and has been charged with second-degree murder, the reason for the shooting is yet unknown.

The horific tragedy has once again shown how much more must be done to stop gun violence in Toronto. The website of the Toronto Police Service reports that in 2020, there were 462 gunshots in the city, leaving 534 casualties.
