Tyler David Stone was an 18-year-old multi-sport athlete. The promising sports personality was killed in a car crash on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

The young champ was a senior at West Central Area High School. His saddened death happened in a head-on collision in Grant County.

A 23-year-old driver from Brandon, Dalton James Johnson, was taken to the Prairie Ridge Hospital in Elbow Lake with non-life-threatening injuries.

David was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on Highway 79 and Johnson was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado westbound when the crash occurred at 4:29 p.m. Sunday, September 11. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, according to the State Patrol report.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Prairie Ridge Ambulance, and the Elbow Lake Fire Department all responded to the call.

However, the name of David’s parents are not known, and it is also not clear if he was the only child of his parents as his siblings are not yet known to the public. We will provide you with such information once we lay hands on it.

David was a High school student and senior at West Central Area High School and was a multi-sport athlete. The West Central Area-Ashby football team posted a tribute to Stone on their Facebook page on Monday morning.

It must be noted that the crash is currently under investigation. We extend our sincere condolence to the bereaved family.
