Tasmanian Australian of the Year 2021 Grace Tame and her husband Max Heerey are initiating a new project which will aim to change laws surrounding sexual assault. 

Max Heery is the partner of Australian advocate and activist Grace Tame. On 25 January 2021, Tame received 2021 Australian of the Year award.

She is a sexual abuse survivor. Now, the Australian is an advocate for people suffering from sexual assault. She has been working on empowering and educating women and eradicating the victim-blaming practices in society.

Who Is Grace Tame Husband/Partner Max Heerey?

Max Heerey is the Manager at The Grace Tame Team organization. He is the husband/partner of activist Grace Tame. In an interview with The Project, Heerey revealed that the two met about a year ago through a runner-out jog.

In the same interview, Tame stated that Max was his soulmate. She further said in their first night; they were already finishing each other’s sentences.

They started going out officially 2 weeks after the interaction. The couple shared a long embrace after Grace was announced 2021 Tasmanian Australian of the Year.

Following that, Heery appeared on The Project broadcast wearing a t-shirt with Tasmanian written on it. This goes to show how supportive he is as a boyfriend. 

The two of them have started a new project that will focus on changing and formulating laws surrounding sexual assault and grooming.
