The music industry is mourning the loss of a true visionary as Steven del Fierro, known affectionately as Iron Bender, a prominent musician and DJ from Oakland, California, has passed away, leaving his family, friends, and the global music community in profound sadness.

His untimely demise was confirmed by MindFlux Music Entertainment, stating, “It is with deep sadness and regret that we must inform everyone that Steven del Fierro passed away.

He will be missed by the Northern California Psy Trance scene and around the world by those who knew him.” The cause of his death has not been disclosed.

Born in Northern California, del Fierro’s musical journey began with Classical Piano and Trumpet, despite contemporary music being strictly prohibited during his early years. However, it was his immersion in Scratch Battle DJing and Turntablism during adolescence that paved the way for his future musical endeavors.

A pivotal moment in del Fierro’s musical evolution occurred at his first live concert, a transformative experience at the iconic Last Day on the Green event held at the Oakland, CA Coliseum. The event, featuring the groundbreaking Rap/Metal ensemble Body Count, set the stage for Metallica and left del Fierro overwhelmed with inspiration. It was in that moment that he realized music was more than mere entertainment; it was an all-consuming passion and a way of life.
