Steven Charles Bergwijn, a Dutch professional football player for both the Netherlands national team and Eredivisie club Ajax, was born on October 8, 1997. He plays as a winger.
Bergwijn received his first full international call-up when Ronald Koeman included him in the Netherlands squad in October 2018. He made his starting debut on October 13, 2018, in a 3-0 victory against Germany in the 2018–19 UEFA Nations League A.
Bergwijn signed a five-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the January 2020 transfer window for a reported £26.7 million.
He made his Premier League debut for the club on January 31, 2020, defeating Manchester City 2-0 and earning Sky Sports’ Man of the Match award. On March 6, 2020, against Burnley, Bergwijn sprained his left ankle, which could have kept him out for the remainder of the season.
