Following a hit-and-run accident that involved pedestrians, the Kennett Square Police Department has announced that Amy McKay, age 50, of Kennett Square has been charged with an Accident Involving Death-Personal Injury and related traffic offenses.

The allegations that have been made against McKay originate from the fact that he fled the scene of the accident after it occurred. On November 29, 2022, at around 7:04 PM, the event took place in the vicinity of Center Street and West Cypress Street in Kennett Square Borough. The date and location were both in Kennett Square Borough.

Both pedestrians who were involved in the accident told the police that they were in the crosswalk when they were struck by a car driven by McKay. They made several attempts to gain her attention, but she ignored them and continued driving away even after they tried to stop her.
