Sarabjit Singh’s sister Sukhpreet dies in accident

Amritsar, Sep 12 (IANS) Sukhpreet Kaur, the spouse of Sarabjit Singh who was killed at a Lahore prison in 2013, died in a mishap on Monday.

As per police reports, Sukhpreet Kaur was going on a bike when she ‘unintentionally’ tumbled from it at Fatehpur town close to Amritsar.

She was hurried to the emergency clinic where she died. Sukhpreet’s last rituals will be performed at her town Bhikhiwind on Tuesday.

In June this year, Sarabjit’s sister, Dalbir Kaur, who had sent off the ‘Save Sarabjit’ mission to liberate her brother from Pakistan prison, had died following a coronary failure.

Prominently, Sarabjit Singh had moved over to Pakistan in an intoxicated condition in 1990. He was an occupant of Bhikhiwind, a boundary town.

In Pakistan, he was condemned to death for his supposed ramifications in a bomb shoot case on a phony personality of Manjit Singh.

The court had coordinated to hang Sarabjit Singh on April 1, 2008, however attributable to worldwide strain, his execution was deferred endlessly.

Yet, it just so happens, Sarabjit Singh was gone after by his kindred prison detainees at a Lahore prison in 2013. He died at the Jinnah Hospital in Lahore on May 1, 2013.
