Bishop, who is known for the ‘Babes in the Woods’ murder, is revealed to have breathed his final breath on the prison surrounded by the prison guards. He was responsible for the killing of two 9-year-old girls Nicola Fellows and Karen Hadaway in 1986 and an unnamed 7-year-old girl in 1990.

The cause of his death is revealed to be bowel cancer which has spread to his brain. Bishop was 55 at the time of his death.

He was serving his time in HMP Frankland prison in County Durham.
