Randy Travis is an American singer-songwriter.
He is also a guitarist and actor. Travis first topped the U.S. Country charts in 1986. Reportedly, he sold over 25 million records and has won seven Grammy Awards; six CMA Awards, eleven ACM Awards, 10 AMA Awards, eight GMA Dove Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Recently, he won CMT’s 2021 Artist of a Lifetime Award.
Also, on September 30, 2021, he started trending on Twitter after Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan accidentally said RIP when referring to him on the show.

Randy Travis has been open about his illness and health problems.
In 2013, the country singer suffered a massive stroke after struggling with congestive heart failure. Due to which he spent most of his time in Tennessee and Texas hospitals and had to undergo two brain surgeries.
It appears that Travis also suffered from pneumonia on three separate occasions and was intubated. Later by November 2014, it was updated that he had slightly recovered and was able to walk short distances and play guitar.
Reportedly, Travis still suffers from aphasia, difficulty with language or speech. However, according to his wife, Mary, Travis still sometimes sings.
Further, he started trending when Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan accidentally said RIP when referring to him on the show. Despite his remark, Travis is still alive and well. Following Strahan’s comment, Travis’s fans made sure he set his record right.

According to which, he was born on May 4, 1959, in Marshville, North Carolina, the U.S., making Travis 62 years old.
Travis is found active in the music industry since 1978. Since then, he had recorded 20 studio albums and charted more than 50 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including sixteen that reached the No. 1 position until 2013 when a stroke incapacitated him.
In 2016, he made a comeback in music and performed Amazing Grace at the Country Music Hall of Fame. He then reappeared on stage with Michael Ray during a cover performance of Forever And Ever Amen.
In September 2019, he then returned to touring. The tour featured James Dupré in a 12-city production. Travis was only able to do three of the shows after there were unexpected production and technical problems.
In 2020, he released a new song titled Fools Love Affair, which marked his first song since suffering the stroke.
