Police in Galveston, Texas, said a second student from Ball High School was killed in a crash that was caused by a drunk driver.

Two weeks after the car collision that also claimed the life of his 14-year-old pal Mason Nelson, Sam Mixon passed away on a Friday morning.

Galvestion, Texas — Students at Ball High School have lost another classmate in a tragedy that police say was caused by a man with three prior DWI convictions.

The death of 14-year-old Sam Mixon occurred on Friday morning, as reported by Galveston ISD Superintendent Jerry Gibson to the local newspaper.

Fellow freshman at Ball High School and victim of the September 2 crash, Mason Nelson, 14, also passed away in the incident. The third student’s injuries were life-threatening. A family acquaintance said that a father had just picked them up from baseball practice.
The 28-year-old Keith Brazier, who was already accused of murder in Nelson’s death, may be indicted on a second count of murder. According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Brazier had just gotten out of jail a few hours prior to the incident after serving time for his third drunk driving offense.

What transpired

Investigators believe the victims were traveling in a Jeep when it was struck by a fast SUV. This incident occurred at the corner of 41st Street and Avenue O, directly beside Ball High School.
Denise Garrett, a local resident, was deeply affected by the event.
“When it went off, I certainly noticed it. In this case, skid marks were absent. Nothing more than a loud explosion “After the accident, Garrett revealed his findings to us. “The effects are catastrophic. I can’t even.”

The HCSO said that a 25-year-old lady was found naked and cowering in bushes on Loren Lane after being abducted and raped.
CRIME
Two juveniles have been apprehended and charged with the sexual assault and kidnapping of a young woman.

The woman was located hiding in some bushes close to a park in northwest Harris County. After the show, she was allegedly abducted from her driveway.

This is HARRIS COUNTY, Texas. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, two teenagers from the Houston area have been arrested for kidnapping a woman earlier this month in order to rape and rob her.
The two suspects, Olvin Rodriguez, 17, and the unnamed 16-year-old juvenile, are charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, and aggravated robbery.

On September 2, 2018, officers from Precinct 4 located the naked woman hiding in some bushes off of Highway 290 on Loren Lane, close to White Oak Bayou.
She claimed she was abducted from her driveway after returning from a concert with friends. According to HCSO, the teenagers drove her to another place, where they raped her while armed and then forced her back into her car. She allegedly informed police that her captors dumped her off on Loren Lane before making off with her phone and other stuff.
At the scene, Precinct 4 deputy constables retrieved “important evidence,” and the investigation was sent to HCSO’s violent crime investigators.
Rodriguez was taken into custody after her phone led police to a house on Dogwood View Lane. According to HCSO, during the search of the home, investigators located the victim’s personal effects as well as the weapon used in the crime.
Rodriguez has a Monday court date and is now being held on $300,000.
The teen, then 16, was brought into custody by juvenile authorities at his residence.
