According to a statement from Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, a deputy of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office was slain early on Saturday near Palm Bay during an unrelated incident.
Ivey stated on Saturday in a Facebook post that Deputy Austin Walsh was slain in an unidentified event that was being investigation by the Palm Bay Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
According to Palm Bay police Lt. Michael Roberts, officers were dispatched early on Saturday to a property in West Palm Beach’s 700 block of Damascus Avenue Southwest, close to Garvey Avenue.
One male had been shot and was discovered dead on the scene when police arrived at the house, according to Roberts.
Further inquiries should be sent to the FDLE, who, according to Roberts, are in charge of the inquiry.
There were no immediate updates on Walsh’s death, which Ivey claimed in the post was “accidental.”
Eliza’s funeral arrangements will be revealed by her family. The family and loved ones will share details about the obituary, funeral, and life celebration at the appropriate time. We will do our best to keep you updated on them.
