Biography:

Molly Shannon was born on September 16, 1964 in Shaker Heights, Ohio, United States. She attended New York University where she studied drama. She also graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

In 1995, she made her major breakthrough when she was cast as a featured player in Saturday Night Live. She followed this with more appearances on television such as in Seinfeld, Will & Grace, Ed, Scrubs, Sex and the City and many others.

Her film work includes Happiness, Analyze This, Never Been Kissed, Superstar, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Serendipity and Shallow Hal, among others.
