Curtis Lee Duffy was an American chief. He was born in 1975 in Columbus, Ohio, and lived in Colorado Springs till age 12, then the family moved to Johnstown, Ohio.
Duffy won an award for his fine dining restaurants in Chicago.
He became interested in cooking in 6th grade while studying at Adams Middle School, where it was a mandatory subject.
While studying at high school, he worked in the restaurants of The Country Club of Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio.
Duffy went to Chicago at the end of 1999 to work with Chief Charlie Trotter, where he worked for three years.
From 2003 to 2004, he worked with Chet Grant Achatz in Evanston.
Duffy and Muser opened Grace in Chicago’s West Loop in December 2012 and received 6 Michelin stars.
In November 2016, Duffy was invited to the Disciples Escoffier International and sits on the advisory board. A $25,000 scholarship in Duffy’s name was awarded.
