Biography:

Mia Kirshner was born on January 5, 1975 Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She attended McGill University in Montreal where she studied Russian literature and 20th century movie industry.

In 1993, she made her film debut in Love and Human Remains, for which she received a Genie nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role.

She also appeared as the assassin Mandy in the series 24. She became well known for her role as Jenny Schecter in the drama series The L Word.

She received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Elizabeth Short in Brian De Palma’s The Black Dahlia in 2006.
