Alberto Aguilera Valadez known as Juan Gabriel was born on January 7, 1950, in Parácuaro, Michoacán, Mexico. His parents were Gabriel Aguilera Rodríguez and Victoria Valadez Rojas, and they were both farmers.
During his childhood days, his father was interned into a psychiatric hospital and because of this, his mother moved to Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and Juan Gabriel was put in the El Tribunal boarding school where he remained for eight years.
Juan Gabriel’s family was a large one with him being the youngest of ten siblings. His siblings are, Virginia Aguilera Valadez, Pablo Aguilera Valadez,Rafael Aguilera Valadez, José Guadalupe Aguilera Valadez, Rosa Aguilera Valadez, Miguel Aguilera Valadez, Gabriel Aguilera Valadez.
