American soccer player Matthew Charles Turner, who was born on June 24, 1994, plays professionally. He serves as the US national team’s goalkeeper and plays for Premier League club Arsenal.

Turner attended Saint Joseph Regional High School and is a native of Park Ridge, New Jersey. He initially preferred playing baseball and basketball, but at the age of 14, he switched to soccer to keep in shape.
