Mark Gottfried is an American college basketball coach and has been the head coach of California State’s Northridge Matadors since 2018. Prior to that, he played similar roles at North Carolina State (2011-2017), Alabama (1998-2009) and Murray State (1998). -2009 (1996-1998), also served as UCLA Assistant Coach (1987-1995)

Former player Gottfried played basketball at Carterville High School, Carbondale High School, and UMS-Wright Prep. He also scored at Oral Roberts on a basketball scholarship. After his first season, he moved to Alabama
