Mark Campbell Died In a West Carrollton Deadly Crash, Mark Campbell’s Obituary

The victim of a deadly accident that occurred in West Carrollton on Tuesday has been identified as a Ross Township Trustee.

According to WDTN, the collision that happened at the intersection of South Dixie Drive and Dryden Road at around 1 p.m. claimed the life of Mark Campbell, 44, of Jamestown.

With the most votes among the three candidates, Campbell was chosen to serve on the board of trustees in 2021.

Trustee Mike Brown stated that Mark was well-liked. “Mark was a devoted father. In Ross Township, he was a rising star in the making. He simply blended in with the current situation. In addition to being a diligent worker, Mark was also a wonderfully pleasant guy. I have nothing negative to say about Mark.

According to Brown, Campbell had been serving as the township manager for roughly 16 months and was just what Ross Township needed.

In Ross Township, “we needed some young blood,” he declared. “He met that criteria. He had a lot of drive. Anytime you asked, he was willing to step up. There was Mark. Right now, we’re all in shock. Since Monday night, I have not slept.

Services honoring Campbell’s life will be conducted at 11 a.m. on April 20 at Jamestown Church of Christ, 152 W. Washington St., Jamestown, according to a post on the McColaugh-Massie website. The church will be open for visitation on Wednesday, April 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. The graves will be interred in Grape Grove Cemetery.

The investigation into the collision is still ongoing, according to West Carrollton Police to WDTN
