Kambie Perkins died from cancer, Girls’ Basketball Coach

Kambie Perkins has passed away and her death has been explained to be caused by cancer.

Kambie Perkins, who has a tumor in her left lung, was admitted to the hospital on Friday, June 17. On June 20, a biopsy revealed that the tumor was a small cell carcinoma, an aggressive type of lung cancer. On June 22, 2013, 13 years to the day after her father lost his fight with same cancer, chemotherapy was initiated. Along with radiation treatment for 6 weeks, she will receive 6 rounds of chemotherapy. She is prepared to fight the hard battle that will be chemo and radiation.

Because of the chemotherapy and radiation treatments, she is currently unable to work. In February, Kambie had just started a new job with a business.
