John Caruso of Oviedo, FL, involved in a fatal car accident

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a 42-year-old Oviedo man John Caruso  was died in a collision on State Road 417 after his car left the road and struck a tree.

Police said the collision occurred on Friday at one in the morning close to the Red Bug Lake Road exit.

The male failed to navigate the bend, ran off the road, and collided with a tree while driving south on SR-417 on the exit ramp to Red Bug Lake Road, according to a crash report.

At the scene, the driver was declared deceased.

A probe is still being conducted.
