Jarritt Sheel Passes Away, Beekle College of Music Professor

Jarritt Sheel, a Berklee College of Music adjunct instructor, just passed away.

While attending Jazz at Lincoln Center, Sunny took a class given by Professor Jarritt Ahmed Sheel. As a guide and a person, he was fantastic. His lovely wife and two infant children are left behind.

Doctoral candidate Jarritt Ahmed Sheel was a fifth-year student in the Teachers College, Columbia University Department of Music and Music Education. At Berklee, he was an educator. He had toured the world as a professional musician and collaborated with numerous high school students in states like Illinois, Florida, and New York.

Sheel has lectured on these topics at the university level in the City University of New York: critical theory, art history, and democracy. He has lectured at the university level on such topics as critical theory, art history, and democracy in addition to teaching music at NYU’s Valencia College, which received the Aspen Award.
