Janelle Sampey Died in a two-vehicle crash in Duxbury Tuesday night.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that a Plymouth lady died in a deadly head-on, wrong-way incident that occurred in Duxbury on Tuesday night.

The 49-year-old Janelle Sampey reportedly hit another vehicle while traveling north on Route 3’s southbound lanes. Sampey was pronounced deceased by police at the spot.

The other female driver involved in the crash was sent to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, according to the district attorney’s office.

During the time the authorities were on the scene, Route 3 was closed.
