The sudden passing of a well-known Japanese fashion designer is heartbreaking to report.
Issey Miyake was a renowned Japanese designer known for his garments with pleats that never wrinkled and who created the iconic black turtleneck worn by his friend and Apple Inc. (AAPL.O) founder Steve Jobs, has passed away, according to news reports on Tuesday(August 9).

Prior to his death, interestingly his beloved wife was not known to the media due to the fact that he hid his romantic life from the public domain.
To date, his wife and their children are not really known at the moment.
Miyake made his departure at the age of 84. According to credible sources, Miyake whose name became synonymous with Japan’s economic and fashion prowess in the 80s passed away on Friday, August 5 from liver cancer.
Miyake, a Hiroshima native, was in a classroom when the city was struck by the atomic bomb when he was seven years old.
Later in life, he was hesitant to talk about the incident. He stated that he did not want to be known as the designer who survived the bomb in an article published in the New York Times in 2009 as part of an effort to convince then-U.S. President Barack Obama to visit the city.
