As of Raising Dion‘s Season 2 premiere date, Netflix hasn’t commented yet on whether the series will be back for a third season, although the story certainly leaves room for one.

End of dialog window. Raising Dion is officially no more. The hit Netflix show based on Dennis Liu’s comic series of the same name will not be renewed for a third season and we are devastated. Permission To Weep granted.

‘Raising Dion’ season 2 was released on February 1, 2022, on Netflix. All episodes of the sophomore outing were released on the same day. Season 2 contains eight episodes, with a running time of 36-45 minutes each.

‘ Raising Dion ‘ is a superhero drama series created for TV by Carol Barbee that revolves around Dion, a child who received supernatural abilities. His mother struggles to juggle the responsibilities of dealing with a superpowered son and uncovering the truth about Dion’s powers while fighting various evil threats.

WILL RAISING DION HAVE A SEASON 3?

We don’t know yet! While the end-credits scene certainly sets up more than enough superhero mystery for a third installment, there’s no news yet on whether Raising Dion has been renewed.

Raising Dion Season 2 was heavily delayed by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, with filming finally taking place from January through May 2021. A potential Season 3 release date depends on when production starts, but since it’s an effects-heavy show, don’t expect to see new episodes until a year or so after filming begins.

Raising Dion season 3 release date: When will it air?

There’s no news yet on whether Raising Dion has been renewed for a third series, but there’s definitely enough material for one. The end-credits scene teases a futuristic world with two of our central characters appearing to square off.

At the end of season two, the Triangle of Justice was still going strong – that’s Dion and his best friends Esperanza (Sammi Haney) and Jonathan King (Gavin Munn). They work together to battle evil Brayden mid-season and come out of season three unscathed.

With the post-credits scene teasing the eventual face off between Pat and Dion in the future, it can be assumed that any subsequent series will become the building blocks for this moment.

We don’t need the power of premonition to see that a trailer for season three is a long time coming. However as soon as it lands we’ll sound the alert, so stay tuned for more updates.
