In the late 1950s, it was suggested Porchie might be the father of Prince Andrew, who was born on February 19, 1960. However, the rumours were false as Andrew was conceived after Philip’s homecoming from an overseas tour. For the Queen there was only ever Prince Philip – as Porchie puts it in the Crown.
Lord Porchester, or Porchie as the Queen called him was the Queen’s racing manager and she was reportedly very fond of him, but he was not the biological father of Prince Andrew.
Elizabeth was said to have had a list of “flirts” as a young woman, and it included Porchester. It was even suggested in the late 1950s that Porchey may have fathered Prince Andrew, who was born on 19 February 1960.
However, this doesn’t mean that this attraction resulted in the two having a child together. Prince Andrew cannot possibly be Porchester’s son because he was conceived after Prince Philip returned home from his overseas tour. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have been married for over seven decades.
Who was Andrew’s father?
The late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (Andrew’s father) was related to pretty much anyone in Europe with a claim to be a Royal, including the Romanovs and gave a blood sample to help resolve uncertainties around their murder by the Communists.
Edward the Black Prince (1330–1376), eldest son of King Edward III and father of King Richard II. Edward of Westminster, Prince of Wales (1453–1471), son of King Henry VI of England and Margaret of Anjou. Prince Edward, Duke of York and Albany (1739–1767), younger brother of King George III.
Edward VI, Prince of Wales (1537–1553), son of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. Prince Edward, Duke of York and Albany (1739–1767), younger brother of King George III. Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn (1767–1820), fourth son of King George III and father of Queen Victoria.
But not until both Prince Phillip and the Queen have passed away. Although Andrew no longer needs the Queen’s permission to marry , it’s no secret that Prince Philip completely detests that red-headed piece of baggage. There’s no way Andrew would marry her while his father is alive.
It is extremely likely that they share their father, Prince Philip. It is almost unthinkable that either would have been fathered by someone other than The Queen’s husband. So, they are full brothers, having both parents in common. Related Answer.
