He made a cameo in the The Simpsons episode, Treehouse of Horror XXIX . In ” Treehouse of Horror XXIX “, Lisa had a fever dream and started hallucinating all kinds of weird things. One of which was Luci from Disenchantment, sitting on the ledge of a window on Dreamland Castle, and smoking a cigarette.
According to the Disenchantment Fandom Wiki, Bean is 19 years old. Since Mora is Bean’s peer, we estimated that she is around the same age. Next, we have Elfo, 18 years old, and Luci, who is ageless. Then, King Zog is in his 50s to 60s, while Queen Dagmar is 40.
Who is Luci in Disenchantment?
Luci is one of the main characters from Matt Groening’s other series, Disenchantment. He is an evil demon, who is friends with Bean and Elfo. He made a cameo in the The Simpsons episode, Treehouse of Horror XXIX .
His role is to guide Bean towards her destiny which he does by generally encouraging her towards mischief and leading her astray. His actions are usually subtle, sometimes seemingly trivial and often significantly advance the plot. It is unclear whether he knows precisely in what way to guide Bean, but it is clear that he expresses no personal agenda.
Luci looks similar to a shadow, though it is shown that he can cast a shadow of his own, which seems to mirror the direction he is facing. Like many demons, he has a spear-head tail. However, when compared to the demons released in The Princess of Darkness, which all have wings instead of limbs, Luci has arms and legs. Luci’s figure has very little form or depth, and is accompanied with a large singular eye (that is shown), horns on his head, and fangs. His form often causes people to confuse him for a cat.

What is Luci’s character?
Luci is best characterized as a “shoulder devil”, who gives people terrible advice. Nothing he says that comes in the form of a suggestion, request, or demand, would be ignored by a wise person, no matter how innocent or pointless they may seem.
In ” A Princess, an Elf, and a Demon Walk Into a Bar “, Luci first came into Bean’s life, and tormented her, letting her know that he’d be haunting her forever. He fought with her for a while, and after she accepted that she wasn’t going to leave, he persuaded her to vandalize her dad’s cake, getting her in trouble.
By season 2, Bean and Luci traveled to hell to save Elfo’s soul. As they escaped, Satan himself offered Luci the chance to be a more powerful demon. But by then, Luci had a change of heart and choose his friends over his place in hell, and even turned on Satan himself in order to save them.

In ” The Princess of Darkness “, Luci told Bean that she was a “chicken”, for not stealing her father’s horse drawn carriage, making her do so, leading to her crashing it and , making it sink in a river, while a woman was in it, ultimately leading to her death.
However, his full name is actually ” Lucille “, a woman’s name, for some reason.
Luci remains an jerkish anti-hero, but would rather have a short life with Bean and Elfo than a eternal one without them. At the end of Season 3, Luci died trying to help Bean against Dagmar. Despite being a Demon, he ended up in Heaven for his loyalty, friendship, and heroism, much to his ire though.
Where is Luci from?
Origins. Luci is from both Hell and Maru. Luci was sent to Bean by Enchantress and Emperor Cloyd, who spectate the shows events through a green oracle flame. They reside in a temple in Maru, revealing Luci is from Maru as well.
Luci’s behaviour is chaotic, varying from encouraging worse-than-normal behaviour, actively disrupting events and to being helpful in a crisis – not just to Bean but to Elfo and Zog. For example:
Hellraiser (1987): When Luci says “Open the gates of…I mean ” the ribbon ” this is parody of Lemarchand’s Box in the classic horror movie by Clive Barker. ( S01E01) He stops himself from saying “open the gates of hell”, which the box in Hellraiser is famous for doing.
Luci’s ways spread to Elfo who encourages Merkimer to drink his impure (half-elf) blood and thus turn into a pig. leading Bean to a sleep-deprived day of snake root intoxication resulting in the desecration of the family crypt in S01E03. He is discovered to be the cause of her behaviour and summarily exorcised.

The name Luci is evocative of Lucifer, meaning “light-bearer” which is one of the name’s associated with the Devil. Whilst an apparent contraction of Lucifer, the name Luci could derive from Lucius, which itself comes from the Latin lux meaning “light”.
Being a demon, Luci doesn’t have a biological form. As such, there is no way of knowing whether his smoking, drinking or drug taking has any effect on his “health”. Being an infernal creature, drugs may not harm him, although they clearly have an effect on him.
How old is Bean in Disenchantment?
Bean’s 19-years-old in Disenchantment, but she’s seen a lot for someone who technically isn’t old enough to smoke or drink, and she does plenty of the latter in the show. (Warning, this post contains some spoilers): Bean’s befriended an elf, killed an evil Hansel and Gretel with a candy axe, brought her mother back from the dead, …
But his shows also usually feature deeply-flawed but good-hearted main characters, like Philip J. Fry, Homer Simpson, and Princess Bean from Netflix’s Disenchantment.
Whenever it comes to the stories of princesses in fantasy-themed movies (Disney included) the age of the young female protagonists is usually a bit cringe-inducing. Ariel, Aurora, Mulan, and Merida, are only 16 years old. Princess Jasmine from Aladdin? 15. Snow White? 14.
Season 3 of Disenchantment dropped on Jan. 15, 2020, on Netflix and people are saying that the show’s just getting better. Season 1 received mixed reviews, with some people saying that it was still “finding its feet” as a comedy and it relied far too much on “one liners” and “physical comedy.”. Other critics on Rotten Tomatoes also called Season 1 …
While characters do strip down and you see your fair share of cartoon butts, Disenchantment still doesn’t get too graphic with some of its more adult situations, including violence. The cartoonish depictions of brutality are lampooned in Monty Python-esque ways in the series — so while you’re probably not going to watch this show with really young kids, don’t feel like you’re headed into one of those anime films your old college roommate was a little too eager to watch with you, either.
