After receiving a stage IV non-small cell lung cancer diagnosis in 2018, Neisha fought a protracted, difficult struggle until her passing.
Neisha allegedly volunteered at Cornerstone by working in the warehouse on Wednesday nights until her sickness prevented her from continuing.
A GoFundMe has been created to help generates funds for the family
Meet Neisha Macasaet. A wonderful wife, mother to Nilo & Mila, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. She has been a long time friend of our family and is the most beautiful, gentle soul. Neisha is an extremely kind, caring, thoughtful & generous person who is always thinking of and caring for others. To know her is to love her. We are asking for donations to aid in her fight against cancer. Neisha was diagnosed with stage IV, non-small cell lung cancer in 2018 and has been fighting a long, hard battle ever since. Originally treating for malignant fluids in her lungs and blood clots in her right lung, kidneys, spleen and leg. She has been through countless treatments, surgeries and hospital stays, losing many precious moments with her children, husband and family. More recently, a stent put in her bile duct due to the enlarged lymph node pressing against the duct. Shortly after, she was having difficulty breathing and diagnosed with pneumonia. She now has 2 additional spots on her liver and 4 new nodules in her chest. Her abdomen has been filling up with fluid due to the cancer, and a pleurx tube was to be put in to try and give her some relief. As of now, she is having pain management through meds to try and keep her comfortable but has exhausted all other standard treatment options. They are no longer working for her but we refuse to give up hope. She has most recently started alternative medicine, doing multiple IV treatments that have helped her as well as an aggressive nutritional program. The IV treatments alone cost $1000 per treatment which is costing them $2000 per week. Unfortunately, this is not covered by insurance. Funds raised will ensure that she can continue with the IV treatments and nutrition plan which will allow her to concentrate on her health without worrying everyday about rising medical costs. We are amazed by her strength and ask for your help so that she can continue her fight. Thank you for your generosity.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the deceased’s family and friends, who have been struggling with the loss of such an intelligent and compassionate individual.
