On Wednesday, April 5th, Joe Kessel unexpectedly passed away while traveling to Boston, Massachusetts.

Joe smiled a lot and loved many people. He had been a member of the Chicago Police Department for more than 20 years, following in his father’s career path. He was always eager to lend a hand to his brother, friends, and family.

His family will have a very tough time adjusting to life without this larger-than-life husband, father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend during the next months as they cope with getting him home, organizing his burial, and learning to live without him. Any sum will help with the numerous expenses that will arise and will aid in providing for his family.
