Honoring Dylan Pickett: A Brother and a Friend
It is with heavy hearts that we come together to remember and celebrate the life of Dylan Pickett. Dylan, a beloved brother and son, left us all too soon at the age of 28, just before his 29th birthday on October 14th.
The Pickett family has always been one to face challenges head-on, relying on the strength of their close-knit bond to overcome any adversity life throws their way. Together, they’ve shared their values, their unwavering support for one another, and an unbreakable family unity instilled by their parents. In their eyes, it has always been “us against life’s adversities.” With their moral compasses in hand, they journeyed through life together, holding one another’s hands.
However, life has now presented an unimaginable path without Dylan. He was the one who brought humor to their lives, who fearlessly protected his family, and who had an incredible talent for finding laughter in even the most challenging situations, even when it might have been considered inappropriate. The memories he created will forever be cherished, and his absence will be felt deeply.
Donations made through this campaign will contribute to the funeral expenses as the family prepares to remember and honor Dylan. Any additional funds will be directed to a cause close to their hearts: the Canadian Mental Health Association, a non-profit organization that has offered vital support to Dylan during his inner battles.
Dylan’s life journey was not without its struggles, and at times, he found himself battling inner demons that led him through the darkest of times. Although their paths didn’t always align, they ran parallel, and even when Dylan faced challenges, he always returned to what mattered most to him – family.
Although he may no longer be with them in the physical world, Dylan’s path has realigned with theirs. His presence, love, and support is ever-present. He was their skilled handyman, their innovative problem solver, and a jack-of-all-trades. Yet, what Dylan valued most was their individual successes. He celebrated their achievements as his own, propelling each of them to be the best versions of themselves, even during his own struggles.
Dylan’s younger sister reflects on the time when he proudly showed off her NWSL trading card, exclaiming to everyone he met, “I’m proud of you Veigh (her nickname). You made it big time, you have your own card!” Well, Dylan, WE made it big time, and we will continue to rise hand in hand, just as we started.

This campaign aims to perpetuate Dylan’s beliefs and values in the community he held dear. He supported his sister and family wholeheartedly, and now, they aim to help him make a significant impact and show the world the vastness of his heart.
In memory of Dylan Pickett, may his legacy of love, support, and unwavering family unity continue to resonate within us all.
