Gautam Shantilal Adani is the richest person in India and Asia, and the second richest person in the world, trailing only Elon Musk.
Gautam Adani owns India’s largest port, Mundra Port, in his home state of Gujarat. His Adani Group, worth $13 billion in revenue, has holdings in infrastructure, commodities, power generation and transmission, and real estate.
In September 2020, Adani purchased a 74% stake in Mumbai International Airport, India’s second busiest. He is now the largest airport operator in the country.
Adani aspires to be the world’s largest producer of renewable energy and has stated that he will invest up to $70 billion in renewable energy projects.
