Apparently, Gary was driving 9 miles North of Las Vegas at more than 100 mph where the speed limit was only 35 mph.

The multi-vehicle crash led him as well as the family members of the van including four children and three adults to be deceased on Saturday 29 January 2022.

Two other members who suffered fatal injuries were in a Dodge Challenger. The police revealed that Gary blew through a red light in the afternoon on Commerce Street.

It then crashed into multiple vehicles at the intersection with Cheyenne Avenue and at least four others in separate vehicles were injured.

A total of 9 people died out of 15 people in the mass casualty traffic collision intersection.

Seven victims of the family traveling in the van were identified as North Las Vegas residents. Three adults: Gabriel Mejia-Barrera, 23 years; David Mejia-Barrera, 25 years; and Jose Zacarias-Caldera, 35 years.

And four children: Fernando Yeshua Mejia, 5 years old; Adrian Zacarias, 10 years; Lluvia Daylenn Zacarias, 13 years; Bryan Axel Zacarias, 15 years.

The other vehicles include a tan Chevrolet Malibu, having a 23 and a 20-year-old; a white Hyundai SUV, driven by a 39-year-old, and a white Mercedes SUV carrying two 51-year-old people.
