F. Murray Abraham is well-known as an American actor. He is known for his roles on stage and screen, he came to prominence for his acclaimed leading role as Antonio Salieri in the drama film Amadeus for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama as well as a BAFTA Award nomination.

Josephine Abraham and Frederick Abraham are the identified parents of F. Murray Abraham. Frederick is an automotive mechanic. Frederick emigrated with his family from Muqlus, Ottoman Syria, a small village in the Valley of the Christians, at age five due to the famine of Mount Lebanon; his father was a priest in the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch.

Josephine Abraham was born on April 15, 1915, and unfortunately passed away on March 10, 2012, at the age of 97 years. She is one of 14 children of her parents and was Italian American and the daughter of an Italian immigrant who worked in the coal mines of Western Pennsylvania.

Josephine Abraham and Frederick Abraham got married and are blessed with three children all sons namely F. Murray Abraham, Robert Abraham, and Jack Abraham. Robert and Jack were killed in separate car accidents.
