On the south side of Milwaukee on Tuesday night, a 5-year-old boy found an unattended gun and unintentionally shot and killed himself.

Just before 8:30 p.m., the incident happened on the 900 block of South 29th Street, according to the authorities.

Elijo J. Gonzalez was the child, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.

According to police, two men, aged 35 and 58, are being held in association with the death. The District Attorney’s Office for Milwaukee County is still considering the charges.

He brought up Elijo’s passing from a weapon that wasn’t locked up, wasn’t in a safe, and was in a child’s reach.

People need to take actions carefully and worry about the repercussions of their decisions.

A child, an innocent child, who is in his home, is the one who pays the price with his life and is killed as a result of adults’ acts, according to Johnson. “As a grown person, you ought to be able to disagree with someone and communicate your displeasure with words, your words. … not pull a pistol and shoot into someone else’s house.
