Drew Kelly Dies in a Motorcycle Accident, Town of Moncks Corner Firefighter

The loss of one of its own occurred Saturday night, and the Moncks Corner Fire Department is in grief.

The Moncks Corner Rural Fire Department stated that engineer/EMT Drew Kelly passed away on Friday in a Facebook post.

According to the organization, Kelly had a brief stint with both the town’s and the rural fire department. According to the department, he was well-liked and provided “honorably” for the residents of Moncks Corner’s incorporated and unorganized areas.

The Town of Moncks Corner Fire Department and the Kelly family should be kept in your prayers over the next weeks, according to a Facebook post. The suffering and sorrow experienced by both families are indescribable.

Kelly’s cause of death was not disclosed by the fire department.
